Quick, easy, healthy snacks.

I’m sure everyone knows that starting a healthy lifestyle isn’t easy especially when willpower dies and the cravings start back up again. Although it’s ok to give in to temptation now and again, it’s good to have a healthy snack that to fall back on. 

These are some of the snacks that have helped me to stay on the right track.

  • Fruit salad. I honestly feel like this is a lifesaver. I like to blend sour fruits with mild sweet fruits, like a sweet banana with sour pomegranate or sour apples. If you’re feeling a bit extra you can mix in some honey vinaigrette or maybe even some mint.
  • Tomato, mozzarella, and balsamic. Although this is not sweet this does curve my cravings for chips. Add in some fresh basil and seasonings and you’re golden.
  • Protein smoothie. Not only will this tick in your macros (protein, fat, and carbs) but it’s also quite filling. When I was at my healthiest point, I would walk to the gym, take a killer workout, and come home to make a beautiful protein smoothie to nourish my body. You can add anything you like but my personal favourite is a mix of milk, mixed fruit, vanilla protein, skyr, and a dash of olive oil. I made a little Instagram video of it some time ago with the measurements.
  • If all fails I’d highly recommend protein pancakes from the brand Ä. These bad boys are perfect as a quick protein-filled snack. I liked them so much I bought two boxes for myself and I regret nothing. I buy them at baetiefnabullan.is and they have loads of flavours.
